Mahindra’s new electric SUV Mahindra XUV400 EV was finally unveiled on Thursday. This car has come out in blue color with a great look. The car in the limelight is very special. This car is way ahead in the range. Pre-booking and delivery for this will also start in January 2023. The 2022 Mahindra XUV400 EV will compete with electric vehicles like Tata Nexon EV, MG ZS EV.
Once in full charge, it can travel up to 456 kilometers. It is believed that this electric car (Mahindra XUV400) can give a tough competition to the existing Tata Nexon EV. Only last month, Anand Mahindra himself announced the date of the reveal of this car Mahindra XUV400 EV i.e. 8th September.
Mahindra has made some significant changes to this electric SUV. It gets updated exterior and interior to differentiate it from the XUV300. Customers will be able to take a test drive of the XUV400 in December 2022. Also its price. The launch announcement and booking will happen in January 2023. The deliveries of this SUV will start from the end of January next year. In the first phase, the Mahindra-XUV400 will be launched in 16 cities including Delhi, NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Chennai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Goa, Jaipur, Surat, Nagpur, Trivandrum, Nashik, Chandigarh and Kochi.
You will be able to drive the car in three driving modes – Fun, Fast, Fearless. Safety features are also strong in this SUV made in India.
It has been introduced in five color options – Arctic Blue, Everest White, Galaxy Grey, Napoli Black and Infinity Blue. Mahindra XUV400 EV measures 4200mm in length, 1821mm in width and 1634mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2600mm and boot space – 378 liters.
Mahindra XUV400 will come with a battery capacity of 39.4 kWh and the battery pack is IP67 water and dust resistant. It has a chiller and heater for the batteries. Its battery manufacturing will be in India only. The company claims that its 50 kWh DC fast charger will take 50 minutes to charge the battery up to 80 percent. Additionally, charging the battery from a 7.2 kW/32A outlet takes 6 hours 30 minutes. In addition to this it typically takes 13 hours to fully charge the battery at a standard 3.3kW/16A domestic socket.
The company claims that this car can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 8.3 seconds and its top speed is 150 kmph. In terms of features, the XUV400 gets a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Mahindra’s BlueSense app compatibility with 60+ connected features.
The prices of the new Mahindra XUV400 will be officially revealed in January 2023. Its ex-showroom price is expected to be less than Rs. 20 lakhs.
